FAQ
- Do I have to be gay or lesbian to be a part of Lambda?
- Nope! Lambda is open to all LGBTQ peoples and their allies. As a gay-straight alliance type of group, we welcome all people at every meeting.
- Do I have to attend every meeting?
- No you don't! Granted, we would love it if members attended every meeting, but as a group of students we understand that school is important and comes first in your life. Life also tends to have some random events, so if you can't make a meeting, don't sweat it. Just come to the next one!
- What does Lambda do?
- As a social and support group, Lambda focuses on its members. What Lambda does is entirely up to what the group wants to do. There are events that Lambda always does, such as selling the "Gay? Fine by me." T-shirts and the Drag Show, however, there is a possibility for more or less events. If you would like Lambda to do more things, come to meetings and tell us what you want to do! If you would like to do less, come and do the same! We're always open to suggestions.
- When does Lambda meet?
- Lambda meets every Thursday from 5 pm to 6 pm in McDougall Lounge. McDougall Lounge is in the lower level of the Student Union. If you walk in from the bottom (by the bookstore) walk past Spart's Den and hang a left, McDougal Lounge is at the end of the hall. If you walk in from the top (where the dining hall is) go down the steps, and hang a right before Spart's Den, McDougall Lounge is at the end of the hall.
